THE GILDED AGE S2 REVIEW 🤩

THE GILDED AGE, I know, is a period soap, but I can’t help being swept away in all its drama and splendor. Here’s my take on the second season:

E1-E2

“THE GILDED AGE premiered two episodes from its second season, and so far, the show is “soapy,” spectacular, and sarcastic. It is nothing more than pure escapism, and I hope it doesn’t change.”

E3 HEAD TO HEAD

“What I thoroughly enjoy the most about THE GILDED AGE, besides their exquisite costuming, is their gossiping dialogues.

E4 HIS GRACE THE DUKE

“THE GILDED AGE has an abundance of storylines going all at once, and they are deliciously delightful. Proposals and paybacks are sweet. Seeing where forgiveness and silly tantrums will eventually lead viewers is exciting.

E5 CLOSE ENOUGH TO TOUCH

“THE GILDED AGE brought excitement, danger, exquisite clothes, cuisine, and romance all in one episode. It was wonderfully entertaining.

E6 WARNING SHOTS

“THE GILDED AGE was a powerful and heart-breaking this week. It teetered on the silly side for mere moments and then hit you in your gut.

E7 WONDERS NEVER CEASE

“THE GILDED AGE is setting itself up for next week’s season finale. There were several plot lines that led viewers down a path of redemption, hope, success, and destruction. It is compelling, to say the least.

E8 THE TERMS OF WINNING AND LOSING

THE GILDED AGE finale brought closure to several plot lines but still left room for a few cliffhangers. It was a stunning episode, including an evening at the grandiose Met where “American society has been reinvented.”
