THE GILDED AGE S2E4 HIS GRACE THE DUKE 🤩

THE GILDED AGE has an abundance of storylines going all at once, and they are deliciously delightful. Proposals and paybacks are sweet. Seeing where forgiveness and silly tantrums will eventually lead viewers is exciting.

I am absolutely smitten with Mrs. Russell’s characterization. She is a force to be reckoned with, to be sure. Carrie Coon has created a woman of many sides through her body language and facial expressions. Being soft and hard is not easy, yet she makes it look effortless while staying true to the historical period. I am also enthralled with Cynthia Nixon as Ada, who is growing more outspoken exponentially each week. I am hopeful for the possible changes in her life.

I realize THE GILDED AGE is very much like a mini soap, but it is my guilty pleasure. I secretly want to wear their gowns, wigs, and hats (Definitely not the corsets!). It is a well-done drama with oodles of sarcastic humor dripping out of their mouths. Such fun!

It is available to stream on MAX.
