THE COMPLETELY MADE-UP ADVENTURES OF DICK TURPIN SEASON REVIEW ๐Ÿ˜Š

THE COMPLETELY MADE-UP ADVENTURES OF DICK TURPIN is a British, delightful, comedy farce. It is a campy, fresh, sarcastic, witty, fast-talking spoof that should not be taken seriously. Be prepared to chuckle and groan all at the same time.

The writers have included every joke and double entendre about highwaymen robbers. It is not so much the rich vs the poor, but more concerning the well-dressed, great, wind-blown hair, and showmanship moments. Hilarity ensues at every turn. I still canโ€™t get the episode where one of the gangs sings and dances through the entrance of their leader, or the best one-line, running gag, โ€You donโ€™t know Dick.โ€ It is outrageously entertaining and extremely creative throughout all six episodes.ย

Noel Fielding shines as the notorious Dick Turpin. Viewers might recognize him from his hosting job on THE GREAT BRITISH BAKING SHOW. Heย delivers with deadpan sincerity and a slight, perfect eye twinkle. The entire ensemble is brilliant as well, carrying out their stereotypical roles. Two actors in particular crack me up the mostโ€ฆHugh Bonneville (Downton Abby) and Tamsin Greig. What a jackpot of a cast.ย

THE COMPLETELY MADE-UP ADVENTURES OF DICK TURPIN is a great way to laugh through thirty minutes of our busy days. It will help anyone escape the dole-drums. I am raising my mug to โ€œTurpin-time!โ€ It is available on Apple TV+.
