THE AFTERPARTY S2E4 HANNAH ๐Ÿ˜Š

THE AFTERPARTY took on another murder mystery genre by showcasing the vibrant, colorful narrative style of the infamous, eccentric Wes Anderson. It was told from HANNAHโ€™s point of view this week, and her writerโ€™s voice was heard loud and clear. The accompanying music infused emotional highs and lows. Much was revealed and explained through the third-person dialogue, bright lighting, and creative sets.ย  ย

The funniest moments had nothing to do with Hannah. Ken Jeong is a brilliant, hilarious Korean translator. Just donโ€™t expect to make any extra money for an important deal. I do want to know who the murderer is, but I find myself wanting to move even faster to get to the finale. This is not a good sign. The show is okay. I just wish they would mix up the format so what we see is not expected. In season one, it was a fresh and fun way to solve the mystery behind the murder. Now it is โ€œbeen there, done it.โ€ ย

I will continue watching THE AFTER PARTY. I am hopeful the writers will add something really profound in the near future. The cast could be evenย zanier. Itโ€™s summer. I am craving the absurd. And…โ€œscene.โ€ ย

THE AFTERPARTY is available to stream on Apple TV+. ย  ย
