TED LASSO S2E10 NO WEDDING AND A FUNERAL 🤩

Favorite Ted, I mean Rebecca’s mom (Harriet Walter) quote of the week: “Boxer briefs are like clunky exposition. They leave little to the imagination.”

Holy f*cking shit, TED LASSO just turned in the episode that changes the course of the series forever! But, of course, it’s all been building up to daddy issues for both Ted and Rebecca to process. And these daddy issues are on display in pure tragic perfection.

The lessons learned about grief are sadly familiar for most of us. For me, it was through the loss of my sister. The funeral and the eulogy were two of the most challenging moments in my life. There are no words that anyone can say to help you through it. And even though it has been over a decade since my loss, it still feels like it was yesterday. In comes, TED LASSO distilling precisely what a human needs in the face of grief and loss – a simple hug.

We all try to “Never let anyone know that you might be hurting inside,” but what if we did? TED LASSO asks that question this week and ties it all cleverly together with Rick Astley. As we say goodbye singing along to “Never Gonna Give You Up,” TED LASSO magically creates the healing moment of 2021.

At one point, Sam (Toheeb Jimoh) states, “I’m only going to get more wonderful.” I can’t believe that TED LASSO can continue to do the same.

The latest episode is available to laugh, cry, and heal to on Apple TV+.
