AHSOKA is an entertaining and exciting treat for fans of the Star Wars franchise. It features all the usual Empire vs. the Force fighting and then some. It is just what we all need on these final days of summer.
What makes this series really hit its mark is the talented Rosario Dawson as AHSOKA. Her presence is felt everywhere, whether she is dodging bullets while spacewalking or calmly teaching Wren to “listen with her eyes.” Her approach to her character is what makes this show work so well. Plus, it helps if you have a wise-cracking droid by your side to keep the commentary and humor going strong. The story is plausible and allows for much traveling and fighting in the galactic galaxies. Just for the record, my brain gently exploded as I watched the appearance of an extraordinary creature.
STAR WARS: AHSOKA makes me want to find my old lightsaber and begin training as well. Searching for past enemy generals will keep my “anger and frustration” on high alert. At least I am not the “worst candidate to be a Jedi.” It is available to stream on DISNEY+.
