STAR TREK: PICARD is not for the average viewer. The writers give Trekkies a fantastic walk down memory lane with beloved past cast members. It thoroughly entertains as Admiral Picard (Sir Patrick Stewart) orders his classic command to engage and takes us into another mysterious nebula.
In this episode, introductions are made with a tough, eccentric villain named Vardic (Amanda Plummer). However, there is much more to be discovered as the elusive chase begins, and all of it seems to center around a new character, Jack Crusher, played by Ed Speleers. Be prepared for bombshells.
There is a subplot involving Raffi (Michelle Hurd) and the integrity of the disengaged Star Fleet Command. For now, it is not as exciting as the Jean-Luc plotline, but I am betting that will probably change soon, especially with the glimpse of Warf (Michael Dorn.) It is great fun catching up and seeing how the recent years have been to the original ensemble. Kind or cruel… it has taken its toll. I can say Seven of Nine (Jerri Ryan) is still a hottie.
STAR TREK: PICARD is exciting and exhilarating to watch. It’s like returning to the old neighborhood with new bullies to confront while surrounded by your crew.
It is indeed worth every magical moment of your time and is available to stream on PARAMOUNT.
