SOUTH PARK S25E1 PAJAMA DAY 🤮

Just say no to Pajama Day.

SOUTH PARK returns for its 25th season. That means I was in high school when this show first premiered, and I’ve watched every episode. That’s insane when you think about it. 25 seasons of TV. There have been many ups and downs. Thankfully most of them have been up, including the recent POST COVID special. Sadly, the S25 premiere is one of their low points.

It’s not that PAJAMA DAY necessarily does anything wrong. It just hits the same beats from previous seasons. From mask metaphors to nazis, we’ve seen this side of SOUTH PARK before, but funnier. The biggest laugh I had this week was during the “Pajama Song.” Outside of that, I found the tropes tired and didn’t care about the message that “saying you were wrong is sometimes the strongest thing that you can do.”

After 25 seasons, I’m not giving up on SOUTH PARK anytime soon. Trey Parker and Matt Stone usually bounce back. So I’m excited to see where they take the next episode. And if it sucks, we can all just “Blame Canada.”

SOUTH PARK is available on Comedy Central, HBO Max, and Paramount+
