SHRINKING gave viewers a roadmap to stepping outside their comfort zones. Audiences were treated to a relationship master class that explored something new, committed to something current, permitted themselves to have fun, and learned the intricacies of parent-child bonds. There was something for everyone to latch unto during this week’s therapy session and it didn’t matter if you were a “rock-holder.”
I cannot lie, but my favorite scene took place during a car ride. I won’t spoil it, but know that Jimmy (Jason Segel) and Brian (Michael Urie) are now my Broadway gurus. I am still reeling from what I witnessed. It was a brilliant, unforgettable moment filled with perfect timing and over-the-top facial expressions. Kudos to all.
SHRINKING sets the bar so high each week forcing fans to contemplate ordinary, everyday scenarios. It is smart writing coupled with incredibly subtle acting that opens a window into life situations. It does not matter if you are young or old, SHRINKING has your back and will help you make better choices. What a gift, and there is no charge for house calls. Don’t miss out.
It is streaming on Apple TV.
