SHELTER S1E1-3 😊

SHELTER is based on Harlan Coben’s mystery thriller novel. Three episodes premiered, setting the tone for a fast-paced, intense, and intriguing story.

The plot centers around a high school senior, Mickey Bolitar (Jaden Michael), and the mysteries surrounding his family and several other students at his school. The ensemble is strong and talented. It features such veteran actors as Constance Zimmer, Adrian Greensmith, Tovah Feldshuh, Didi Conn, Adrianne Barbeau, and Abby Corrigan.

What held my attention was the twists and turns the writers gave us throughout these first moments of the series. I wasn’t sure what specific genre connects to SHELTER. It took on surprising details that so far will keep me coming back for more. At the moment, I am calling it dramatic, historical, and, at times, creepy. This is all in addition to solving a huge, mysterious plot.

SHELTER has its humorous, sarcastic side, thanks to the non-stop thinking minds of the students. It is their perseverance that is the driving force in finding the truth. Currently, I am interested in joining the “Musicals I Love Foundation,” better known as “MILF.” I guess it really does “take strength to live in the darkness.”

SHELTER is available to stream on Prime Video.
