SHE SAID 🤩

Aaron’s wife, Kara, provides a passionate guest spot review on SHE SAID:

Every woman that has been sexually assaulted (is that like one in three now?) knows the paralysis and anxiety that takes over when being presented with the opportunity to say what happened. It is the fear of the other person’s actions and reliving the experience, even if you are protected and safe. More painful is the shame of feeling that you have allowed this to happen, not comprehending that you did your best to help yourself in a terrifying situation, whatever your response was. The brave women who’ve stepped up and fought for those who can’t are the heroes of this era, fighting for our protection and the protection of our daughters.

Knowing that SHE SAID poorly performed at the box office makes me feel both angry and sad. SHE SAID brings the understanding that there needs to be a massive shift. The world, our culture, and the many systems in place have for so long promoted, protected, and perpetuated all the ways in which women are abused. It has not been enough for us to say no in a million different ways.

Everyone should see this movie. We need protection and prevention from behavior like that of Harvey Weinstein. SHE SAID is the stepping stone to that, and I highly recommend it.

SHE SAID is available on streaming this January.
