SEVERANCE’S first season proved to be a surprising hit even with several slow-paced episodes. It superbly gave the viewers the necessary information to ensure the intense, emotional finale. I am still thinking about those final moments and wishing for more.
Harmony (Patricia Arquette) was the perfect villain. She played her roles with such sweetness and pure evil. It was difficult looking her in the eye on my television screen without resorting to violence. I am not a violent person, but can we please wipe that sadistic smirk off her face?
In the beginning, I grew weary of the white maze of Lumon Industries, but by the end, I totally “got it.” I especially loved the “mouse-like” scurrying in episode 9. (Where’s the cheese?) I felt like I was running too, and was out of breath, or maybe that was just my fear being kicked into high gear. In any case, holy sh*t!
Thank you to the entire ensemble, the director, (Ben Stiller) the writers, and the set designers who created this one-of-a-kind, original Sci-fi thriller. No doubt season two of SEVERANCE will be greatly anticipated.
SEVERANCE is available to stream on APPLE tv+.
