SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE UK is now a real thing. Apparently, the Creator, Loren Michaels, (as well as one of the many producers) has been wanting to make this variety show in London for some time. It premiered on March 22, 2026, with host Tina Fey and a very British cast of hilarious characters.
SNL UK follows the American format and set design. You would swear you were watching the old, familiar version, except for all the British political humor on display. It was funny and as fast-paced as ever. Fey, of course, was a superb host and skit member. The comedic bits run the gamut between proper and bawdy. Cussing is allowed, which opens up a new level for jokes and zingers. The writers know their audience, and the ensemble is very talented, Dolly, and creative.
SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE UK will be a weekly event on Peacock. Check it out. It’s great to get another point of view, especially during these chaotic, bombastic moments both here and across the pond.
