RUNNING ON SAND was a poignant, powerful movie chosen to conclude the Spokane Jewish Film Festival. It shared the plight of a refugee trying to survive in Israel with very unlikely results. The film tugged at every heartstring, and the audience smiled, laughed, and cheered with delight.Â
RUNNING ON SAND reinforced the idea of not judging people for who we think they are. Every human being has value and can catalyze change and acceptance. The writers took a somewhat simple situation and flipped it every way, producing profound results. Kudos for great storytelling.Â
RUNNING ON SAND was well done. It made the audience feel good and tingly inside while finding a necessary solution outside the standard box. It was food for thought as to howaboutworld will handle the growing problem of immigrants.Â
