RICK AND MORTY S8E2 VALKYRICK ๐Ÿ˜Š

After a superb season opener, audiences get a serviceable sub-par second episode of RICK AND MORTY’s eighth season. I like the idea of Beth (Space One) as a secondary character. However, in VALKYRICK, she’s the primary focus, which doesn’t allow for the same emotional impact as the other Beth (Earth One).

Some of my favorite quotes this week:

  • “Who has the patience for three-factor authentication?”
  • “Funny story, or maybe not that funny.” “Are you pitching a Hulu original?”
  • “The super-soldier formula.”

RICK AND MORTY’s latest will not live “rent-free in your head” and should be instantly forgettable. Here’s hoping the show gets back on track next week with a substantial storyline.

It’s available on Adult Swim.
