ONLY MURDERS IN THE BUILDING continues it’s masterful journey to solving “Who done it?” through a podcast. It is an enlightening episode of pulling the layers back from Mabel’s (Selena Gomez) past.
Mabel’s Mom appears and reveals how worried she is for her daughter. She asks the burning question if “You have ever screwed up so badly that you can never forgive yourself?” A very painful moment, but necessary.
The narrator this week is the Detective who originally determined the death was a suicide, but now seems to be questioning her investigation. This is all because Jimmy Fallon is talking about the podcast on his evening show. Steve Martin (Charles) and Martin Short (Oliver) are thrilled with the free publicity, but they question their necessity and call themselves, “randos.”
This series keeps me on my toes. I never know what to expect, and I love the surprises. It is fast-paced, creative, intelligently written and delivered. This is intentional…not random. I am hooked and ready for whatever comes next.
