MYTHIC QUEST kept me laughing hysterically until it didn’t. The last few moments of this episode made me cry as well. Raising the temperature to 22 degrees Celsius would not have changed a thing as to where Poppy (Charlotte Nicdao), and Ian (Rob McElhenney), were headed.
Whether the office felt a gentle breeze or a gust of wind, a simple post-it was the trigger. How many times can Poppy and Ian call out Dana’s name? I couldn’t stop giggling. And through it all, we learned “anything lower than a rat catcher is a local news correspondent” (Even if “nipples are tearing out of Poppy’s jumper!”). Jo (Jessie Ennis) is still keeping me on the floor with waves of laughter. The writers outdid themselves with sharp, poignant one-liners. I don’t care “who does dictionaries” or created cubicles. I just want more.
This week, MYTHIC QUEST was a hit without “overpromising or under-delivering.” It all gave me a new perspective on rats, and usually, I hate rodents…uh, uh. Not this week. Well done. The show kept me in the palm of the writers’ and actors’ hands. Captivating.
MYTHIC QUEST is streaming on APPLE TV+.
