MONSTERS AT WORK S1 E1-2 ๐Ÿ˜Š

MONSTERS AT WORK begins immediately after MONSTERS, INC. ends. It includes many of the same familiar characters that most of us grew up loving. I honestly can say I missed Billy Crystal (Mike), John Goodman (Sulley), and Jennifer Tilly (Celia). It was great to see them again. I am a huge fan of this franchise. I even own and cherish my two โ€œBooโ€ dolls. I wanted to love this series and welcome all the new personas into my heart, but this is just not happening as of yet.

It is hard to put my finger on what is missing. The new workers we meet at Monsters, Inc. are ok and will add many new stories and interesting twists. My favorites are Henry Winkler as Fritz and Ben Feldman as Tylor. I miss the huge laughs and sentiment I felt when I watched the original movies. I was drawn in from their very first moments. This just has not occurred.

There are only two installments to base my first impression on, so I am hopeful I will fall in love again. The music is excellent, and I look forward to a heartwarming, emotional payoff after all ten episodes have aired.

MONSTERS AT WORK is available to stream on Disney Plus.
