MO S2 REVIEW 🤩

MO season two has officially surpassed RAMY S1-S3 and MO S1 as this creative team’s best (and possibly most personal) show. Writer, star, producer, and director Mohammed “Mo” Amer should follow in the footsteps of Ramy Youssef with his name up for an acting award at next year’s Golden Globes – he’s just that good.

MO’s first season was all about various immigrants and their families in the United States trying to get by. In contrast, the latest is about the complicated immigration process. This timely approach might sound heavy-handed, yet in Mo’s hands, it plays out with heartfelt laughs without ever veering into preachiness. It can still stay grounded even with I.C.E. detention centers in the mix.

The authentic laughs, tears, and healing are all part of Mo’s journey in S2. Audiences will see him and his family react to a “world that tries to tear them down, yet when they do, they smile because they know who they are.” That infectious smile(s) is enough to recommend one of 2025’s best shows.

MO S2 is available on Netflix.
