HIS & HERS S1 LIMITED SERIES REVIEW ๐Ÿ˜Š

โ€œThere are two sides to every story. Yours and mine. Ours and theirs. HIS & HERS.โ€

And so begins the twisted thriller series. Even though there are only six episodes, this suspenseful murder mystery delivers a powerful, gut-wrenching punch all the way to the final frame. I could not stop. I binged it all in just a few hours. Oh, humanity can inflict so much pain on one another.ย

Anna, brilliantly portrayed by Tessa Thompson (HEDDA), and Jack, brought to life by Jon Bernthal (THE BEAR), together captured the essence of this tragic coupleโ€™s journey. The emotional arcs of their stories were compelling and secretive. Their chemistry was outstanding, whether they were shouting at the top of their lungs or softly trying to find and rekindle a connection.ย

It was a crazy, cold ride until it wasnโ€™t. Their struggles were fired and fueled by strong. writing. I loved that I constantly felt compelled to figure out how the crime succeeded. Itโ€™s great fun when you think you have it, but you donโ€™t. Kudos to the entire ensemble for every fast-paced, plot mishap.ย

HIS & HERS provided a platform to showcase strong, good, bad, and ugly women. All of us are flawed and weak at some time or another. It was a breath of fresh air to see those moments on screen. No one truly knows what they are capable of until they are confronted with unbearable situations.ย ย We would like to think we would take the high road. HIS & HERS brought out the truth.

It is streaming on Netflix.
