HEARTSTOPPER S3 REVIEW 🤩

HEARTSTOPPER’s third season is a return to form after a muddling second season that spent too much time on lesser characters (ugh, that Paris subplot). What I loved about S3 was watching all of the coupling and how each relationship grew stronger in the face of adversity.

Charlie and Nick are clearly the main characters in HEARTSTOPPER. Yet, that doesn’t stop the supporting cast from all having emotionally satisfying arcs – Tao and Ellie ❤️.

My only nit for season three is that it is split into two parts. The first focuses on a mental illness, and the second pulls away to explore love. While we all love… love stories, the mental illness portion was so emotionally satisfying that it made the back episodes to feel lesser than. Again, though, this is a nit since those back episodes are powerful, but compared to what came before it, it’s not even close.

The friendship, acceptance, and growth shared by all the characters in HEARTSTOPPER’s new season make it a must-watch. Prepare to shed buckets of tears at first and leave with a heartfelt smile by the end.

It’s available on Netflix.
