DAVE S2 REVIEW 🤩

DAVE’s second season will be a challenge for audiences because they’ll have to suffer through three mediocre episodes and one 🤮 episode before a hilarious BAR MITZVAH turns things around. And wow, does it ever turn the trajectory around for this season.

The challenge with DAVE’s second season is removing the most likable character, Ally (Taylor Misiak), and focusing on how Lil Dicky has become a narcissist. At one point, it gets so bad that Ally tells Dave, “Even when I loved you, I did not like you.” If audiences can stomach that moment and Dave vomiting on the only person’s back who has had his back, they’ll be treated to one of the best TV series of 2021.

The show has a LOT to say. From celebrities (the Doja Cat exhaustion moment), equity (Emma facing Asian discrimination in the workplace), family (Dave realizing he doesn’t know his mom’s favorite food), and most importantly, friendship – GaTa for season MVP. Of course, all of this occurs with the most dick jokes out of any show since SOUTH PARK.

In the words of guest-star Benny Blanco, “I love you, Chuck.”

The complete second season is available on FX.
