CROSS S2 REVIEW ๐Ÿ˜Š-

CROSS just didnโ€™t float my boat like it usually does. I have read all the books written by James Patterson concerning this larger than life Police Detective, and what always intrigues me is the mix of softness throughout his moral crusade for maintaining justice. I have always seen him as a strong family man and not someone who is constantly show off his amazing biceps. Donโ€™t get me wrong.Aldis Hodge as CROS is truly built, but I just needed more from his other side. I canโ€™t believe I am saying this, but there was too much thinking with the wrong part of his brain. The character CROSS, is much more intelligent to be duped so easily.

The murder plot line was pretty intense, but parts were unnecessary for ten episodes. Some of the story got sidetracked. I wanted to see Nana more and hear her kitchen table wisdom. Johnโ€™s (Isaiah Mustafa) tale had plenty of holes, so it never did rise to the emotional level it needed to be. It was disappointing.

Kayla (Alona Tal) played a strong, subtle, bad ass bitch extremely well. It would have been fun to explore her background even more. The writers made sure to help the content overlap what is going on across our planet. There were woeful, anguished moments that received a good payoff. Too bad it couldnโ€™t happen in real life.

CROSS was just not enough to get me that excited. I liked the first season better. It was well-acted and there were some great chase and shoot-out sequences. It just wasnโ€™t what I expected for what I know about Alex CROSS.  It is streaming on Amazon Prime.
