CONCRETE COWBOY ๐Ÿ˜Š

CONCRETE COWBOY recycles a common, old story about a troubled son reconnecting with his absent father. In the end though, it is really a tale about black cowboys from northern Pennsylvania who are members of the Fletcher Street Urban Riding Club.

The film stars Idris Elba and Caleb McLaughlin (STRANGER THINGS). Their performances are powerful, gritty and understated.

There are no real โ€œaha momentsโ€ in the development of their journeys. The surprise comes from the horses and the men who stable, train and love them enlisting several authentic members from the real-life Fletcher Street Urban Riding Club. They are the actual heroes of this movie.

Recognizing black cowboys is a subject that needs attention. These men make a difference in their community every day. My favorite part is when all of these aging cowboys are sitting around the โ€œcampfireโ€ sharing moments from history and their past.

CONCRETE COWBOY is available to stream on Netflix.
