CENTRAL PARK S2E5 DOWN TO THE UNDERWIRE 😊

Another good, not great episode of CENTRAL PARK aired on Apple TV+, and I’m once again one of the only people tuning in to watch. The show starts by cracking not one but three egg jokes before getting scrambled in an undercooked plot about a missing key and a father/daughter bra shopping trip.

Out of the two stories, Owen and Molly’s “braplem” plot was meaningful because it showed a dad providing light support to help his daughter find the perfect bra. However, the story with Bitsy and the newspaper race should’ve been placed back on the rack. As stated last week, her character is just ugly. I’m all for a nasty villain, but she’s not nasty enough to be fun, yet the creators keep putting her in the spotlight. Unfortunately, this comes at the expense of not spending more time with the lovable Tilerman family.

I’ll do my best to keep my expectations “low” as the “key” to this show’s success is having the few lovable characters grow. There are glimpses of this weekly, but unless CENTRAL PARK decides to spend more time in the beautiful park and less time in Bitsy’s ugly office, the show won’t make it.

It’s available on Apple TV+.
