THE PINK PANTHER in PINK PANIC and PINK PLASMA 🤩

I love THE PINK PANTHER animated series. Growing up, we used to have the boxed set of the original cartoon, and I’ve seen every episode. Whenever my friends would come over in elementary school, I’d put it on, not realizing how different it was than FAIRLY ODD PARENTS or TEEN TITANS. Looking back, I understand the strange and somewhat bored reactions from my eight-year-old friends. Not only is it light on dialogue (to the point it was odd when a…

DEAD BOY DETECTIVES SERIES REVIEW 🤩

DEAD BOY DETECTIVES is the perfect Halloween watch – mysterious, supernatural, and whimsical. Each episode offers a fresh take on traditional folklore, packed with fascinating world-building. Its rich lore makes it an easy, engaging watch, and its comic book roots really shine through.  While the mysteries themselves aren’t particularly intricate (despite the “Detectives” title), it doesn’t really matter. The fantastical storytelling is enough to keep you hooked. I’ll admit I was hesitant to start watching, since Netflix doesn’t have the…

NATHAN FOR YOU S1E5 HAUNTED HOUSE & S2E1 REALTOR 🤩

Is there a better way to get into the Halloween spirit than by kicking back and throwing on the most rewatchable comedy of the last decade? NATHAN FOR YOU may not be known for thrills and chills, but two half-episodes fit the season perfectly: S1E5, HAUNTED HOUSE, and S2E1, REALTOR. As I’ve said before (especially in my reviews of THE REHEARSAL), my favorite NATHAN FOR YOU installments start with a genuinely clever idea that spirals wildly out of control. In…

THE SIMPSONS: TREEHOUSE OF HORROR IV 🤩

Since 1989, THE SIMPSONS have been a staple in American culture. Twisting the view of a typical family, we have seen Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa, and Maggie charm their way into our cultural zeitgeist. In Season 2, THE SIMPSONS decided to air their very first Treehouse of Horror, showcasing our beloved characters in alternate, spooky situations. Fun fact: the first chapter of the Treehouse series is the only episode ACTUALLY to take place in a treehouse. These short stories could…

RUGRATS S2E14 THE SANTA EXPERIENCE 🤩

Before there was BLUEY, there was RUGRATS. It was a cartoon with just as much appeal to adults as kids who grew up in the early-to-late 90s and early 00s. And that still holds up today. Someday, I’ll write about the Mother’s Day special. But for now, I’d love to reminisce about the show’s first Christmas-themed episode, THE SANTA EXPERIENCE. THE SANTA EXPERIENCE is 22-minutes of pure comedic gold. It consists of two primary subplots. In one, Tommy and Chuckie…

AGATHA ALL ALONG S1 Review 🤩

This will be an odd comparison, but AGATHA ALL ALONG is the closest Marvel Studios has gotten to a Mike Flanagan series. If you think about it, especially after viewing the final two episodes, there’s a lot here about the effects of grief on an individual and how that (coupled with greed and power) can corrupt them. Each member of the coven confronts fears and traumas episodically and makes peace with the idea of death. And given that, I have…

FROM… SO FAR 😊

If FROM were any other network than the little-used streaming service MGM+, this would be a bonafide hit. As is, it’s a little-seen horror series that deserves audiences’ attention this Halloween. I loved the journey of the TV show LOST but hated the destination. I was skeptical when I heard that LOST producers Jack Bender and Jeff Pinkner were reuniting for a horror thriller with former castaway Michael (Harold Perrineau). Yet, I’ve binged and am up to date on the…
