BLACKBIRD 🤮

BLACKBIRD takes its audience on a journey about a sensitive subject that we do not often mention. Euthanasia.

How would our families accept the decision of a matriarch portrayed by Susan Sarandon? Would there be a calmness as we ate our last meal together? Or would there be too many things left unsaid? Would you yearn for more time or accept this heart-wrenching decision?

This is what faces this family in BLACKBIRD, but sadly the script left me wanting so much more from this stellar cast. It was not their fault. Excellent acting with the lines they were given, but even though I wanted and expected to shed tears, not one fell in the end.

The characters were not complete. Too many holes. The beautiful beach house was too sterile and too perfect.

I wanted more. I felt I deserved more in the end.

BLACKBIRD is available to pass on Amazon Prime Video.
