The aftermath and consequences of Coop’s (Jon Hamm) actions were featured on YOUR FRIENDS AND NEIGHBORS. It was essentially a filler episode, but it still delivered huge emotional arcs concerning the entire ensemble. Coop’s guilt or innocence seems to be the topic of discussion and support. It is all leading up to the finale next week. My mind is a blank as to how it will all pan out.
What struck me was how the title, WHEN DID WE BECOME THESE PEOPLE? was spoken several times throughout the installment by key characters. These were honest, poignant moments to be sure. Most people don’t analyze their downward declines. It was refreshing to hear what was truly important in the end. I would not want to be in any of their designer shoes. I don’t have any empathy for their choices. The writers make it clear that having money does not eliminate problems. They just get bigger.
