WOMEN IN BLUE was all about the necessary details and backstory about the serial killer’s identity terrorizing the city. The episode was compelling and intense, although it used a softer tone and pacing.
WOMEN IN BLUE was also about the evilness that festers for decades because of past trauma. The word haunting comes to mind as I watched in quiet panic mode. The episode did not center on the female police officers. They provided the narration and filled in all the blank spots. This could have felt boring, but the writers handled it all very well. I could not pull away until the last second with all its frightening implications for next week.
WOMEN IN BLUE is an intelligent show. The male police won’t know what hit them very soon.
It is streaming on Apple TV+.
