WE WERE THE LUCKY ONES SEASON REVIEW 🤩

I cannot say enough about WE WERE THE LUCKY ONES. It is bold and daring to bring to light what families felt during these dark days for all to experience.

E1-4 🤩

WE WERE THE LUCKY ONES is must-see TV. It is hard to watch, but oh so necessary to be reminded of a cruel and inhumane time in history. “We can never forget.” It is based on George Hunter’s novel and inspired by a true story.

E5 ILHA DAS FLORES 🤩

“WE WERE THE LUCKY ONES is first and foremost a series about how to continually “make family be the light” for the world. It literally hurts to watch, yet we must. It is powerful, poignant, and filled with glimmers of hope along the darkness.”

E6 WARSAW 🤩

“WE WERE THE LUCKY ONES presented a highly emotional depiction of what life must have been like as the Holocaust began in Poland. Ninety percent of the Jewish population were killed during those few years, with only ten percent surviving. While viewing this particular episode, man’s horrific inhumanity was brought to light. My heart broke over and over as I watched the nightmare unfold for the Kurc family.

E7 MONTE CASSINI 🤩

“The brilliant writing allows the talented ensemble to explore and express the horrors and horrific conditions. I think about being unable to move in trenches hearing the pop, pop, pop of gunfire all around. I marvel at the montage of Addy’s new music composition juxtaposed against every family member fighting for their lives. Each installment is draining, but I must watch and witness.

E8 RIO 🤩

“WE WERE THE LUCKY ONES completed its heartbreaking, bittersweet series. Watching the needless brutality at the end of WORLD WAR II punched a hole in my gut. I cried…I cheered…I celebrated with the Kurc Family. Their story belongs to everyone who has lost loved ones through the cruelty of war and the sheer tenacious triumph of surviving.
