The latest episode of WANDAVISION proves emotionally that “the only way forward is back.” Shenanigans aside, audiences gain a deeper understanding of what is happening as Wanda spends most of the episode watching some “real reruns.” There are several unanswered questions, but please don’t give yourself double vision by getting a “migraine trying to understand the plot.”
PREVIOUSLY ON captures the same story beats and origin structure as the far superior WATCHMEN: A GOD WALKS INTO ABAR. Yet what makes this episode the most complete in the series so far is Agatha’s scarlet letter like beginnings vs. Wanda’s family history – showcasing the difference of nature vs. nurture.
For those expecting another TV centric episode, don’t be alarmed that “it’s not that kind of show.” However, audiences will be treated to an overpowering experience that captures the cry worthy theme of “what is grief if not love persevering.”
