Merely the fact that I’ll be sticking with this show puts me in the top percent of fans (which isn’t saying much). Esta initially planned on switching off with me but has officially dropped out.
MARCHING BAND SLEEPOVER is forgettable and pointless (and has weird, outdated jokes about band kids – I might just be saying that because I was in my high school’s marching band, but I just wanted to call that out for the record). The biggest plot advancements are recapped at the beginning of the next episode anyway.
THE SINS OF THE FATHERS AND SOME OF THE MOTHERS feels like the first solid episode from the show so far. It’s not a perfect episode, or even a great episode…or even a good episode, but it’s what viewers signed up for when they started watching the show. Velma, Daphne, and Fred have been generally unlikeable for the show, but we’re finally starting to see some change.
VELMA’s fifth and sixth episodes are able to stream on HBO Max now.
