UNSTABLE S1 REVIEW ๐Ÿ˜Š

UNSTABLE is a fast-paced barrage of sarcastic one-liners. It is, at times, silly, saccharine sweet. It deals with eccentric scientific geniuses wanting to make a difference in our world. Ellisย ย Dragon (Rob Lowe) simply wants to save our world from climate change catastrophes.ย ย

This series has several other strong themes running through each episode. It is all about father/son relationships, grief, friendship, and acceptance of who you are. This is done with humor and quick rebuttals. Some hit home, while many others just fall like a heavy stone in a lake. Plop and then silence. Itโ€™s a mixed bag, for sure.ย

Ellisโ€™s son, Jackson (John Owen Lowe), is Robโ€™s real-life son. The two okay off each other almost intuitively. Duh. Their dialogues are fun, entertaining, and filled with a learning curve. The two of them have the most incredible hair. It is almost a mirror image. Almost.ย

The entire ensemble is quirky. The writers really did choose over-the-top characters to be employed at this company. Are all scientists this strange? At times, everyone seems quite โ€œforked.โ€

UNSTABLE would like viewers to โ€œexpand their world.โ€ I did. I binged the entire season. Was it worth it? Sometimes. It didnโ€™t add to my stress level, so thatโ€™s a good thing. It ended with a cliffhanger. I will take up the flute while I wait.ย

UNSTABLE is available to stream on NETFLIX.ย ย
