Oh, UNITED STATES OF AL… Where are you going? I believe this once important sitcom has lost its way. The show used to be mainly about Al (Adhir Kalyan) and his Afghanistan journey assimilating into the American way of life, but this season, I am not sure.

I understand the importance of learning about others in the ensemble, and yes, they are fine actors. Their characters create the necessary support group that surrounds Al along his journey, but it has been too long to witness a featured episode concerning Al. He is even turning very cranky lately, and this is not fun nor educational to watch. I realize that Riley (Parker Young) had an epiphany this week, and I am glad for him. Now move on and give us more of Al.

UNITED STATES OF AL only has a few more segments to air. I hope to finish this season, but at this rate, you never know. It is available to stream on CBS/PARAMOUNT Television.
