THEATER CAMP 🤩

THEATER CAMP elicits more silliness, life lessons, and friendships than I can say. It is like taking a trip down memory lane from all the wonderful years I was lucky enough to experience the pure joy of being around “my people.”

THEATER CAMP is creative, fun, and will make you laugh out loud. This is largely due to the talented cast and their improvisational skills. Ben Platt, Molly Gordon, Jimmy Tatro, and especially Noah Galvin are superb. But it would be wrong not to mention the entire group of campers who sing, dance, and act their way into audiences’ hearts. Everything is over the top yet works to sheer perfection. Can we say, “Cue the cocaine?” Tear sticks, Thespian bumper stickers, and genuine throat coats are the norm. And theater people wouldn’t have it any other way.

Some of my favorite scenes were the auditions, bickering over casting, the rush of who got what part, “What is stage combat?” the hell of tech week, and the glow of performance. THEATER CAMP captured it all and plucked all those insane memories from anyone who has ever done theatre. After all, “We are theatre people, and we can turn cardboard into gold.” Hilarious moments!

THEATER CAMP is all about family and connections. It is a place where everyone can be themselves and even star in “STILL JOAN.” Kudos…just kudos. It is available to stream on Hulu.
