THE VOICE OF HIND RAJAB is a taut docu-drama that combines real-life imagery and sounds to create a haunting depiction of war. The story follows a group of volunteers at the Palestine Red Crescent Society as they stay on the phone with a 6-year-old girl who gets trapped in a car during the war in Gaza.
Director Kaouther Ben Hania should be applauded for tackling such a harrowing true story, avoiding the politics of why the war is happening, and focusing instead on the volunteers who attempt to save a little girl’s life. It has a SEPTEMBER 5-vibe that works on all levels.
Final Thought: My early Oscar prediction for THE VOICE OF HIND RAJAB is that it will earn more than Best International Feature Film and sneak into either a director or writing nomination.
It will be released in limited theatres on December 17th, 2025.
