THE TOURIST did not disappoint with all the action, romance, and humorous satire. It was a creative, crazy romp through the violent antics between the McDonald and Cassidy families, feuding clans in Ireland.
The story took such different twists and turns throughout these six episodes, plus it gave Helen (Danielle Macdonald) an opportunity to use her thorough and detailed private investigative skills. This woman has the power to create empathy with every facial and body movement. Add her acting skills with Elliot’s (Jamie Dorman) strong, alpha male bravado and audiences will find themselves within many entertaining yin/yang moments. Helen can’t stop “scratching an itch” in order to get to the truth no matter how many kidnappings, new bloodlines discovered, and validation of a bit of ballet. THE TOURIST was written to keep everyone on their toes.
I am hoping for another season of this fun, nuanced, well-written, and produced series. It is a binging delight with all the cliffhanger conclusions. Don’t miss out. It will take away whatever winter doldrums come your way. It is streaming on Netflix.
