Florence is one of the largest tourist destinations in the world. It can create overwhelming anxiety trying to maneuver around the crowds at every museum, church, art exhibit, and breathtaking, lookout point. Eugene could not wait to get to a slower pace without all the garbage trucks continually picking up trash.
Italy has always been Eugene’s favorite country. The spectacular sights and lack of noise in Tuscany soothed his soul. Truffle hunting, grape picking, and jousting ruled the tiny village and Eugene’s heart. It was a wonderful stay enjoying good food, wine, and friendly company.
