THE MUPPET SHOW is back. It’s like revisiting very special moments with familiar, heart-warming friends. It was delightfully fun.
I remember sitting with my children watching this silly, zany, highly entertaining group of puppets that came to life each week in our living room. All of the characters became instant old friends to each of us as we laughed and chatted about their antics. We had favorites. They were relatable. It didn’t matter how old or young we were. We saw a piece of ourselves in that massive community. And now, the entire ensemble has returned no different except for the voices that emanate from their human-controlled bodies. It has been a long time since the Muppets have appeared on our screens. The original creators grew older and passed away, but this new tribe of voice actors preserves the essence of each character, even when the inflections are not identical. It felt like coming home.
THE MUPPET SHOW used the same format, same set, and incorporated not one, not two, but three guest star appearances. It invites everyone to sit back, relax, and smile, if only for thirty minutes of pure nostalgia and entertainment. All I can add is…
