THE LAST THING HE TOLD ME S1 SEASON REVIEW 🤮

I started THE LAST THING HE TOLD ME back when it first premiered in April. I could not get past the first episode, but for some reason, I decided to give it another chance over the weekend since I have seen it pop up on lists put out by APPLE. I binged it. I like finishing what I started, so this review can tidy up their viewing lists.

The series stars Jennifer Garner as Hannah. She was the best part of the story. Thank goodness. Her face emoted whenever necessary for the scene and each frame. The problem does not set with her, but rather the writing and pacing. Hannah is purported to be an intelligent, sensitive character. It drove me nuts at times that she could not figure out what happened and who her husband was sooner. There were moments I was shouting at my screen trying to push her in the right direction. This is not a good sign for what is supposed to be an intense mystery to solve. It all needed to be more compelling. This shouldn’t have been that difficult to create since it was based on a best-selling novel by Laura Dave.

THE LAST THING HE TOLD ME is supposedly coming out with another season in 2025. I am not sure there is a need to continue this storyline any further. It was a bittersweet tale about love, family, justice, and courage. The final seconds gave adequate closure to a series in need of more editing and memorable words.  It is streaming on AppleTV+.
