THE GILDED AGE S3E8 MY MIND IS MADE UP 🤩

THE GILDED AGE gave audiences a fabulous finale. It might have been a few minutes longer, but it was worth every extra minute, being packed with momentous moments that will have long-range effects  on Season 4  when it returns. Bravo! Thank you, Julian Fellowes, the creator and writer.

Several major story arcs were wrapped up enough to leave room for further development in the future. There were heart-warming scenarios that brought a tear to my eyes and left a smile on my face. What I loved about this episode was the stunning ball gowns and jewelry displayed on all the key characters as they crossed the elaborate red carpet into the exquisite ballroom. The pearl necklace was a knock-out. Oh, I wish I had an Audrey Hepburn neck!

I also found it amazing how the theme this week appeared to be about beginnings and endings. Doors closed all while another was opened, or a window was left ajar. It was a connecting thread stitched quite cleverly throughout the cast. There was growth. The story moved forward despite one being pierced by a bullet. It was a juicy, gossipy smorgasbord.

I will miss my weekly fix of THE GILDED AGE. It has been a fun journey experiencing the wealthy, the poor, and the black neighborhoods in the 19th century. New York truly is such a cultural melting pot.

It is streaming on HBO MAX.
