Kind of interesting that this week’s THE FALCON AND THE WINTER SOLDIER comes a few days after this episode of THIS IS US, because there’s a lot of heavy thematic pieces that make this something of an unintentional companion piece.
There’s a lot to think about and a lot to consider in this episode, as it genuinely gets to the heart of what the show is really about: the fight for the preservation of legacy. In that respect it’s an incredibly important episode.
That being said I also don’t think it’s the most exciting episode. A large conflict that’s been prominent all season amounts to something that, while satisfying, seems a bit too convenient or easy. I couldn’t help but be disappointed by this, and a few of the neater resolutions in this episode.
Hoping for a really grand finale next week, after a somewhat low-energy break this week.
