"Hotdog, eggnog!"

One would think that a Rankin/Bass Productions-like TED LASSO short would easily be a 🤩, but alas, it’s more of a 😊. CAROL OF THE BELLS is still the Christmas special that audiences should watch annually.

But, if you are jonesing for a hair-raising LASSO experience, you could do a lot worse than this “imperfect” Christmas special. The basic plot is Ted’s mustache goes missing, and the entire gang is there to help him search for it. The message – “It’s not about making Christmas perfect for the people you love, it’s the people you love that make Christmas perfect.”

Coincidently, the message of THE MISSING CHRISTMAS MUSTACHE is similar to ARTHUR’S PERFECT CHRISTMAS, which is a part of our 12 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS SFR Collection. Tarush wrote that ARTHUR “demonstrates the importance of showing that there’s no such thing as a “perfect” Christmas, and that message has resonated with me for years.

Well, Tarush – it looks like that message has also resonated with the creators of TED LASSO, twenty-plus years later.

It’s available on Apple TV+.
