STICK is a golfer’s series, as well as an excellent treat for all Owen Wilson fans. One out of two isn’t bad for me. Three episodes aired, and now the show is set up and off on a crazy golf adventure. Along the way, there are many sarcastic and humorous moments.
STICK is a bucket of affirmations and deep thoughts that often get in the way of action. The zany characters are straight out of central casting, featuring a broody teen, a single mom, a widower, and an out-of-luck golfer. It is not to be taken seriously. The show is meant to entertain those who love a good golf story in a light-hearted manner.
STICK is just getting warmed up. Time will tell if it stays true to its premise of exploring “what’s next” and includes engaging story content. In the meantime, I will give it the benefit of the doubt for all of those who have missed seeing Wilson on the screen.
