STICK filled in all the empty spaces necessary to get the RV group ready to take on the golfing world. It was about honoring commitments in any way possible. The necessary information was shared, and Lucky Charms were available. It wasn’t really a filler, but very close to those boundaries.
Owen Wilson as Pryce and Mark Maron as Mitts have impeccable comedic timing. Their argumentative dialogue style is perfect, and both know how to hit their audience’s funny bone. Their moments together are fun and easy. Audiences feel relaxed in the palm of their old friendship. They make it all look natural, unlike dealing with Peter, Zero, and Mariano. These rough edges require a significant amount of work before money will begin to pour in. Let the backstabbing and deceit begin!
STICK is exactly what it is. It wants to make audiences chuckle, relax, and let go of everyday tensions. It is entertaining, simple to watch, and let go. Sometimes that’s all anyone can ask for after a hard, complicated day at work.
