STAR TREK: STRANGE NEW WORLD is at its best when the crew breaks Federation rules and boundaries. Fans know they are in for a thrilling sci-fi adventure and joy ride. SHUTTLE TO KENFORI supplied all of that and more.
The writers did an excellent job of weaving important character layers between the crew’s usual duties as officers. It was clever to continually ask the key question, “Am I talking to my Captain or my friend?” It perfectly captured the trust and friendship that prevailed during those “go back or die” moments. I love how audiences have come to accept these crew members for who they are, with all their flaws and good intentions. It all just feels so realistic that perhaps, somewhere in the future, space travel will be possible.
STAR TREK: STRANGE NEW WORLDS was exciting and entertaining. It had it all – fight scenes, evasive maneuvering, romance, friendship, and exhilarating chances. Whether or not you are a Trekkie, don’t miss this season.
It is streaming on Paramount+.
