STAR TREK: STRANGE NEW WORLDS is back. All I can say is woohoo! What a treat the first two episodes were for sci-fi fans and anyone who loves great story content, adventure, thrilling escapes, romance, funny and poignant moments. Episodes one and two were polar opposites yet offered amazing entertainment.
When I was watching, it felt like a familiar family surrounded me. Each member of the ensemble has a complete sense of who their characters are and the intention to get it right for their loyal viewers. The writers were smart to toss in several new faces to keep the action fresh, interesting, and exciting.
The crazy battle scenes were outrageous, yet believable within the STAR TREK parameters. And I will never understand why seat belts aren’t a thing in the future. Seeing an unexpected cast member shirtless blew my mind. What a daring story arc, while still peeling back those hidden, emotional layers. The explosions of color in the second chapter were a welcome delight.
STAR TREK: STRANGE NEW WORLDS made me smile and kept me on the edge of my seat as we “boldly go where no one has gone.” I have my passport ready. Beam me up, Scottie.
