Iām not sure how Trey Parker and Matt Stone are scheduling SOUTH PARK content, but audiences are once again randomly treated to another SP extended episode⦠I mean movie. The latest isnāt as funny asĀ POST-COVID THE RETURN OF COVIDĀ nor theĀ VACCINATION SPECIAL, yet where it lacks in š , it makes up for it with cleverness.
I love that the STREAMING WARS in this episode didnāt deal with television but instead the control of water flow. This makes for some perfect commentary on the current state of the TV streaming industry, disguised in the form of H2O. Sadly, the satire is drowned with too many repeating plots/characters that the creators shouldāve retired already. If Iām subjected to any more ManBearPig or Tegridy Farms, I might go full āKarenā mode and āspeak to the manager.ā
However, even with these choppy seas, THE STREAMING WARS is a boat worth climbing aboard. It doesnāt get lost at sea, nor is it a complete shipwreck. Instead, itās like a forty-five-minute booze cruise with your old friends down in SOUTH PARK.Ā
THE STREAMING WARS is available on Paramount+.
