SLOW HORSES was locked” down for too long and, without meaning to, became a filler episode. The writers gave viewers a brief, smelly moment with men cooped up and needing to use the loo. This was really TMI for any fan.
The acting chops of Jackson Lamb (Gary Oldman) can be compared and studied in any master class. He is just as powerful when he is still and deep within the silent beats, as when he is barking orders at everyone. His monologue was sheer perfection. I didn’t want to breathe for fear of missing a single word. Brilliant, but TALL TALES did not move the storytelling forward at its usual fast pace.
SLOW HORSES is still one of my faves. I am sure the team is about to be swept up into a chilling terrorist-spy thriller plot. I am patient.
