We loved SHRINKING on Apple TV+ The following is a breakdown of what we said about each episode in Season 1.

E1: COIN FLIP 🤩

SHRINKING is what happens when you find comedy in a heavy topic but with stronger writing, showrunners, an audience that’s ready to handle it, and a medium that allows them to watch it at their convenience. In short, it’s GO ON, but done better.

E2: FORTRESS OF SOLITUDE 🤩

The show’s MVP is, of course, Harrison Ford. I don’t think Ford has given as tender, multi-layered, yet hilarious performance as this in decades.

SHRINKING dares to talk about the topic most would leave alone as the elephant in the room. Yet, grief and its powerful tentacles touch everyone in its path using an indelible handprint of deniability, anger, and sadness.

It’s official. This episode has made SHRINKING my favorite sitcom on the air right now that’s not called TED LASSO.

SHRINKING is a jewel among the many “meh” television series. It gets under your skin and inside your heart with family, friendship, grief, and love issues. It says it like it is in real life, and sometimes we all have no other option but the BOOP. Thank goodness.
